Bedlam

This series of books portrays the topsy-turvy life of the Loveday family; Mum (Dora), husband (Andrew), and their four mischievous but lovable children; Flora, Tom, Luke and Billy. This chaotic family are disorganised, foolhardy, and slightly crazy – frequently finding themselves in hot water for one reason or another. In this first instalment, Dora’s work-life balance leaves a lot to be desired, with her less-than helpful family constantly undermining her efforts to stay on top of things. Seeking solace in renewing her artistic side, she finds an outlet for her creative urges in the shape of an attentive and charming art teacher. However, her best friend’s dubious business start-up and the in-laws’ shenanigans are enough to give her sleepless nights, followed by the ‘holiday from hell’ which really takes the biscuit. Who knew a mere fish could wreak such havoc on a person?
