Mayhem
Diary of a Stressed Out Mother
synopsis
‘Home is where the heart is’, or so they say. Dora is beginning to feel the opposite is true. Bob’s madcap renovation project is taking an aeon to complete, plus a string of unsavoury visitors who outstay their welcome by a mile, is almost too much to bear. Since when was it acceptable for guests to leave false teeth soaking in plain sight, or air their smelly socks wherever they pleased? The garden used to be a place of rest and contemplation but is now a smouldering wasteland. God knows what the neighbours must think. Even her place of work is no refuge - Dora is aghast at some of the donations she receives from people. How could someone discard a dead relative just like that, without a by your leave?
