With Both Feet
Romantic Feel Good Comedy
synopsis
WITH BOTH FEET (A ROMANTIC COMEDY):
Laura is a slightly scatty but dedicated English teacher with a big heart, in a failing Comprehensive school on the outskirts of a scruffy London suburb. Misbehaviour and truancy is rife, and the children she teaches are challenging to say the least (‘herding cats’ comes immediately to mind). The Headmistress, Evelyn (the Führer) Ferrier, is not Laura’s biggest fan and the feeling is mutual. Laura’s mother is beginning to suffer with dementia, and when she accidentally leaves Otto, her dog, outside for several hours, Laura decides to take the poor creature home with her. Her friends are astonished when, despite an already overflowing plate, she invites a disaffected 14-year-old boy to live with her. No wonder her love life is going down the pan. What man in his right mind could handle a crazy teacher with a
loopy mother, a disobedient dog, and an increasingly dysfunctional teenager in tow?
